People would show off their reconfigurations and clever life-hack solutions using our products. This got me thinking: \u201cWhat is so different about our couches from others that look very similar to ours and essentially do the same thing\u2014allow people to sit comfortably?\u201d What I saw in those photos was life\u2014real life\u2014not that staged, perfect-family, perfect-d\u00e9cor, perfect-children, perfect-dog kind of over-merchandised life depicted in product catalogs everywhere.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1569460337737{padding-top: 35px !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1\/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][nectar_image_comparison image_url=”1373″ image_2_url=”1371″][vc_column_text]\n

Life perfectly lived? … or a life perfectly lived!<\/span><\/p>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1569460371306{padding-top: 35px !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1\/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]It finally occurred to me that maybe the unique attributes of Sactionals allowed people to live\u00a0differently, without worry, for they could wash it, change it, rearrange it, repair it, upgrade it\u2026and thereby keep it longer, to support their life, on their own terms. This built-in sustainable nature of our products gave rise to the philosophy, and the need to get totally committed to \u201csustainability\u201d on a holistic level just became undeniably apparent. What a powerful and humbling notion that Iroquois phrase is! It is hard to not feel like a pig when reflecting on how we live today, the scale of mankind, our globalized economy, how much natural resource we consume, and how conscious we should all be toward finding a better way.<\/span>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner column_margin=”default” text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1569460379395{padding-top: 35px !important;}”][vc_column_inner column_padding=”padding-2-percent” column_padding_position=”right” background_color_opacity=”1″ width=”1\/1″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid” offset=”vc_col-lg-12 vc_col-md-12 vc_col-xs-12″][vc_column_text]The fact that most of the stuff\u00a0we buy is harvested in one way or another out of the earth, manufactured utilizing great energy in some foreign land, packaged for shipping, diesel fuel propelled around the globe, offloaded, transported, stored, picked, re-packed, and shipped via gasoline to its final destination only to be peeled out of layers of packaging meant for discard or energy-sucking recycling so \u201cit\u201d (the product we just had to have) can be used. It will then inevitably be condemned as out of style, or out of service, or out of favor, only to be discarded and replaced. What is this strange existence? We are borrowing\u00a0this earth, and all the things we take from it, from our children.
